California Cup

| Fierce Competition: Northern CA’s best vs. Southern CA’s best |
| • 2 teams per age group from Northern CA; 2 teams per age group from Southern CA |
| • Each age group will have 32 players divided into 2 equal teams |
| • Each team plays 4 games. |
| • 5 age groups: 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u & 14u |
| Unique Format: 31 points to win the Cup! |
| • All games and skill contests count as 1 point for the Northern CA or Southern CA team. |
| • Skill Contests account for 4 points per age group: HR Derby, Roadrunner, Golden Arm & 4-man round-the-horn (20 points overall) |
| • Each game accounts for 1 point (40 points overall) |
| • The 6-foot tall California Cup will be displayed at NCTB tournaments all year once Northern CA wins. (take THAT, southerners!) |
| Selection Process: |

The 2010 California Cup teams for Northern California will have the following selection method: 5 "Selection Events" will be held from late-March to late-June 2010. Players will sign up INDIVIDUALLY to play in these events, and will play 3-4 tournament games over the course of a weekend. Players may play in just one event, or multiple times- it is up to them. Each selection event will have distinct player evaluations and 6 players will be selected from each event (per age group). We will take 30 players in each age group to the California Cup. In the 12u, 13u and 14u divisions, players will ALSO be evaluated for inclusion in the USA Baseball NTIS final tryout for the NTIS 13u division. Cost for each of the selection events will be $125. THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE FOR PLAYING IN THE CALIFORNIA CUP if selected. THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE FOR PLAYING IN THE 13u NTIS if selected. The selection events will be: March 26-27 (Twin Creeks) 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u, 14 April 24-25 (Mather Sports Complex) 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u, 14u June 12-13 (Twin Creeks) 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u, 14u June 26-27 (Mather Sports Complex) 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u, 14u June 29-31 (BLD Manteca) 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u, 14u (this is Tue-Thu during the day) PLAYERS will be able to sign up by the end of this week. |

| • All players will play. This is an “all-star game” format. |
